An obituary is a written article that reports the recent death of a person, typically along with an account of the person’s life and information about the upcoming funeral. It can be long or short in duration.
Many local newspapers have a section dedicated to Deaths and obituaries are found in this area. If you have used the services of a Funeral Director they will generally do this on your behalf and are able to guide you through the process and wording.
